I wanted to update everybody on my latest fast. As I told you before, I’m trying to accomplish a 30 day fast, which will be my longest to date.
My fast has been going great, with only a couple of exceptions. I have been feeling very good, doing moderate exercise while fasting, and also losing quite a bit of weight. As of today, I am down 20 pounds at the end of 16 days.
At the time that this will be posted, I’m about halfway through day 17.
On day six, I did eat two hard-boiled eggs. I was feeling quite sick that day, and I felt that I needed the nutrition, so I ate those. That is a very small amount of food, so it did not bother me to do so. After eating two eggs I immediately went back into fasting. Since then, I have not eaten anything.
Day 16 was another difficult day for me. Every day has been easy so far with the exception of days 6 and 16.
Yesterday, day 16, I had to go out into the city to take care of some shopping for my family. It was quite stressful, the mall was very crowded. It is almost back to school time here in the Philippines, and I had to take one of our children to buy her school supplies. There were so many people there, it was difficult to even navigate through the aisles. I started feeling a little bit dizzy and weak. When we got home, I was still feeling very bad, so I decided to eat a small salad, just greens with salad dressing, nothing else. However, then I realized that we did not have any lettuce, so I decided not to eat after all. Instead, I went and laid down and took a long nap, several hours. When I woke up, I was feeling well, relax, no weakness, no hunger. This made me very happy, and I just continued fasting. It has been several hours since I woke up from my nap and am now writing this for publication tomorrow morning. I’m glad that I made it through the day.
If I can make it through 30 days of fasting, I feel that it will be a great accomplishment. I will be pushing hard, but it is also my policy that I listen to my body, and do what my body tells me. If my body tells me that it has fasted enough, I will eat, but I hope that does not happen. I hope that I can accomplish the 30 days of fasting (although I did eat two boiled eggs as I mentioned). Although I ate those two eggs, I will still consider this a successful fast. So far, I have completed 16 days and eaten only two eggs in that time, that does not bother me. As I said, I do with my body tells me, and on day six my body told me that it needed something.
Okay, I just wanted to share this with those following along. If you are also fasting, I wish you well.

Hi Bob, you’re doing well. Pity about the eggs. Hard boiled eggs contain less then half the nutrients of soft boiled maybe good info for future reference. I prefer raw eggs but have not been game to try like that here in the Phil’s Regards Norm.
Bob
Thank you, my friend. Truth is I greatly prefer soft boiled eggs, but when my nephew cooked them for me they turned out hard this time. LOL

I was just thinking about you!!! ๐

Great work Bob!
Question : does autophagcy continue after eating the eggs or do you then need to go through three days of fasting before it starts again?
Stay safe,
Jeff
Bob
Thank you, Jeff. Autophagy stops when you eat protein or carbs. But, based on what I am reading the autophagy probably started back up in only 6 to 12 hours after eating the eggs.
