I started my 10 days fast on Wednesday evening at 7 PM. As I write this it is Noon on Friday, so I have been fasting for 41 hours.
I want to give daily reports on this blog about how the fast is going, how I am feeling and so on.
This one will be short because day one (the first 24 hours) was more or less what I have been doing for a month now. I have been fasting 23 hours each day for most of a month (I started out fasting 19 hours per day).
So, no issues for the first 24 hours, it was just normal, what I am already used to.
I had heard a few days ago that day 4 is the toughest day of prolonged fasting. However, while doing some research yesterday, a doctor that I respect said that day 2 is the toughest. I am in the middle of day 2 now (actually beyond the middle) and I am not finding it tough at all. We shall see how the rest of the day goes, and I will report about that tomorrow.
So far, so good!

I did an 8 day fast a few years ago. Good for you Bob. Next thing you’ll be telling us that your going vegetarian. Lay low because you’ll get tired often. In the morning, stand up slowly so you don’t faint. Good luck. Kevin

Hi Kevin, I will never go vegetarian. I believe in a high-fat high-protein low-carb diet I believe it’s the very best. I know it’s worked wonders for me.
