In the previous article I wrote, I mentioned that I tried multiple diets other than the ketogenic diet. So today I will be talking about my results with those diets. The first diet I mentioned was the Military diet which is a 3-day weight loss diet that can help you lose up to 10 pounds in a week. Like all of the other diets, it is a really strict diet. There is a fixed menu of the food that you should eat for your breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the 3 days of the diet. That made it really hard for me because some of the food you are required to eat, I just did not like. Some of those are Wholegrain toast, tuna, green beans, carrots, and tuna. But even though it was hard to follow the diet, I still managed to do it. After trying out the 3-day diet, I did not really see any results. My weight was still about the same. I was so devastated cause I really thought I would be seeing some good results. I guess that kind of diet just does not work for me.
The other diet I mentioned in the article was the “No Rice” Diet, which is simply giving up rice and not eating any rice at all. At first, it was really hard to do because I have been eating rice all my life and I love it so much. But after a few days of not eating any rice, i kind of got used to it and it became easier to do. I did it for about a month and just like the military diet, I thought I was gonna be seeing a lot or at least some changes or results but sadly I did not. I think I did not get any results because I ate a lot more of other food by giving up rice. One of the other diets I mentioned in the article was skipping dinner. I would not really call it a diet cause I was not really eating healthy food when I ate breakfast or lunch. It was also really hard to do cause I was starving and it would make it really hard to sleep at night. I did lose some weight after doing it for some time but I just did not want to continue doing it cause I did not think it was a healthy way to lose weight.
The last diet I mentioned was the ketogenic diet which is a high-fat, low carbohydrate diet. This diet is the one that really gave me good results. It was also an easy diet to follow cause I love to eat meat and Skippy peanut butter. I lost about 30 lbs or more in a month and my body fat percentage went down. The ketogenic diet also helped me with fasting. I did not feel hungry most of the time. I fasted for about four to five days. I never thought I would be able to do something like that because I really love eating. I also love to workout a lot and whenever I fast, I feel like I have more energy and I am able to workout and exercise for a longer period of time.
